Better legends for transparency mapping effects

Today in Intermediate Environmental Geomatics we talked about making maps that use transparency as a way of layering symbology or messages in a map. Fortunately, the ESRI Mapping Center had just recently posted a description of how you can better modify your map legends to reflect the transparency. In general, I encourage our students to peruse the Mapping Center blog as a great resource for tracking down cartographic techniques for ArcMap.
